Greenwood Home Haunt 2011
Wow! 2011was quite a year! We faced just about every challenge a Home Haunt could and still managed to pull off an amazing show.
Work started on new props in early August. I've learned loads of new techniques and "magic tricks" by scouring the Internet. In my quest for new ideas, I was pleased to discover a HUGE community of other Halloween Fans, just like me. We are known as Home Haunters! However, the Spirits of Halloween decided to play several nasty tricks!
Unfortunately, in September, while helping a friend move, I suffered from a herniated a disk. Back surgery was eminent. Friends, relatives and my amazing kids took the lead & helped make our The Greenwood Home Haunt Happen.
Then, there was the infamous Shock-Tober Snow Storm of 2011. Six to twelve inches of wet snow fell and nearly put the Haunt out of commision. We ended up without power for almost a week. Fortunately, Trick or Treat was rescheduled and we rebuilt.
Proud to say that we raised nearly $400 for the American Diabetes Association and the Joslin Center of Northeast New England!Special thanks to all of our visitors, all of my Family and of course, all those who made donations to our cause!
